Originally from Luton, I spent 6 years, in my early 20's, working for Thomson Holidays in 5 countries around the Mediterranean, including, Rhodes (Greece), Tunisia, Malta, Cyprus and Italy.
I have always been interested in working in the Information Technology (IT) sector as well as IT Training and have previously worked for EE (when it was known as one2one and T-Mobile) and worked for British Telecom » from 2006 to May 2022. I was then tuped over to Rackspace Technology, where I currently work.
I passed the Association of Accouting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 course in 2023 and am currently attending the Level 3 Diploma. I have recently become an ATTQB member. I currently only manage the finances for GCN on a voluntary basis.
I love learning new languages and had the privilege of learning from local people in the countries I have visited. My favourite language will always be Italian. In the evenings and at weekends I love helping Italian students with their English writing and grammar, building websites and listening to music and playing the piano/guitar.
Another language I am really interested in is HTML & CSS, which are used to design and build websites. I am self taught and have been asked to create other websites apart from this one, namely Nel Brooks Artist » and Glos100 »
Being part of Gloucester Community Networking (GCN) has opened my eyes to the privilege and pleasure of being able to support such an amazing group of people who selflessly and tirelessly strive to help the community come together, raise money and awareness and genuinely network with as many like-minded people as possible. It has brought us closer to our wonderful neighbours as well as putting us in contact with some truly remarkable people. I am very proud to be part of this group.
